How is my AI Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
How is my AI is a macOS menu bar app by KaProblem e.U. This policy explains what the app stores locally, what network requests it makes, and how to contact us with privacy questions.
1. What the app stores locally
How is my AI stores your selected monitoring configuration locally on your Mac. This includes enabled and disabled services, custom endpoints you add, refresh preferences used by the app, and local preview settings used for development or screenshots.
This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to KaProblem servers.
2. Network requests made by the app
The app requests status information from the service endpoints that you choose to monitor. Examples include official status pages or local endpoints such as Ollama or LM Studio if you add them manually.
These requests are made directly from your Mac to the configured endpoint. KaProblem does not proxy these requests through its own servers.
3. Data collection by KaProblem
How is my AI does not require an account and does not collect personal data on KaProblem servers through normal use of the app.
The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or user tracking features as part of its intended functionality.
4. Third-party services
When the app checks a third-party status endpoint, the operator of that endpoint may receive technical information such as your IP address, request time, and standard request metadata. This happens as part of the normal HTTP request between your device and that service.
Please review the privacy practices of the services you choose to monitor if that is relevant to your use case.
5. Data sharing
KaProblem does not sell your personal data.
KaProblem does not share app usage data with third parties because the app is designed to operate locally and directly against the endpoints you select.
6. Contact
If you have questions about privacy or data handling, contact us at [email protected].
